New Delhi: Swiggy, the Indian online platform for ordering and delivering food, has faced criticism for its recent advertisement campaign for the Holi festival. The company's billboards featuring eggs were removed following a backlash on social media. The billboards, which were only located in Delhi-NCR, displayed the message, "Omelette - Sunny side-up - Kisi ke sarr par. #BuraMatKhelo. Get Holi essentials on Instamart." While Swiggy has not yet released an official statement on the matter, sources said that the billboards had been taken down. Many individuals used the hashtag "HinduphobicSwiggy" on Twitter to call for a boycott of the food and grocery delivery service.
