Vijayawada: The additional junior civil judge directed the police to shift Telugudesam (TDP) leader Kommareddy Pattabhiram to the Gannavaram sub-jail. Judge rejected his plea to transfer him to another jail considering safety reasons. The judge refused, stating that the request would only be considered if prior permission is sought. It is known that Pattabhi, along with 11 other TDP leaders, have been remanded to judicial custody by a Gannavaram court on Tuesday. During his appearance in court, Pattabhi claimed that the police had used a third-degree on him. The judge directed the police to conduct a medical examination and submit a report. On Wednesday, the police submitted the medical report to the Court and after examining the report, the judge ordered that Pattabhi be shifted to the Gannavaram sub-jail. As per the sources, the other TDP leaders were already shifted to the same jail on Tuesday, while Pattabhi was taken to the hospital for a medical examination.
