Nellore: A student at RSR Engineering College in Kadanutala, Andhra Pradesh, committed suicide due to severe ragging and harassment by his fellow students. Pradeep, a diligent student with a bright future, jumped in front of a moving train, unable to bear the torment inflicted upon him. According to Pradeep's parents, he had confided in them about the ongoing harassment by his roommates, who demanded phone numbers of female students, alcohol, and food. Despite his pleas for help and a transfer certificate, the college management did not take any action. The incident has sparked outrage among students and locals, who are calling for strict action against the perpetrators and an end to the culture of ragging in educational institutions. The authorities have promised to investigate the matter and take necessary action.
