Ex-cricketer Vinod Kambli Charged with Domestic Violence: Wife Alleges Assault and Injury
The Mumbai Police have filed an FIR against former Indian cricketer, Vinod Kambli, after his wife, Andrea, lodged a complaint alleging physical abuse and assault. Kambli, is facing charges of voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons (IPC section 324) and insult (IPC section 504).
According to Andrea, Kambli returned home in Bandra in an inebriated state and attacked her indiscriminately, causing serious head injuries with kitchen utensils. Their 12-year-old son, who tried to intervene, was also reportedly beaten. Andrea received medical treatment for her injuries. The police have initiated an investigation but Kambli has not been arrested at this time.
