However, actress Rashmika Mandanna has repeatedly stated that they are just good friends. Recently, a rumour surfaced that the two of them went to the Maldives together, but neither Vijay nor Rashmika confirmed or denied the rumour.

Recently, speaking to the interview, Rashmika has once again cleared up the rumours, confirming that she and Vijay went on a Maldives trip together but that they are just good friends. She further questioned what goes wrong if they went for a trip. The two actors previously starred together in the successful film "Geetha Govindam." They also appeared in Dear Comrade.
