Two jawans commit suicide at Sriharikota
Nellore: In a tragic incident, two CISF (Central Industrial Security Force) personnel committed suicide within 24 hours at the Sriharikota Space Launch Center in Andhra Pradesh on Monday. One of the jawans, Vikas Singh (33), shot himself with his service revolver while on duty at the center.
The other jawan, Chintamani (29), hanged himself from a tree on the center's premises. Both jawans were said to have personal problems and the police denied any allegations of harassment from senior officials as a cause of their deaths. The police registered a case and an investigation is underway.
