Visakhapatnam: Some unidentified miscreants pelted stones on the Vande Bharat train in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday. According to the sources, the incident took place near Kancharapalem in Visakhapatnam. It is learnt that the glass pane of two coaches of Vande Bharat Express was damaged in the incident.

The railway officials said that some miscreants pelted stones on the Vande Bharat train after it reached Visakhapatnam for maintenance and a trial run. Stones were pelted on coaches after it is going to the coach care centre. Officials said that they are scrutinising the CCTV footage and searching for the accused. The Vande Bharat train was earlier scheduled to be flagged off by PM Modi on January 19 but it is preponed.
