Guntur: The police put several Telugu Desam Party leaders under house arrest on Thursday to prevent them from taking part in the protests ahead of TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu's Kuppam tour. According to the sources, the police house arrested Devneni Uma and deployed heavy forces at his residence. Police also house arrested TDP leader and former Chintalapudi MLA Dhulipala Narendra in Guntur, Yerapathineni Srinivas Rao and TDP Guntur Urban president Degala Prabhakar. It is said that heavy police force was deployed at the Guntur TDP office. Party activists are expressing worry after house arrests.
