Andhra Pradesh's three capitals dispute has emerged as a contentious political issue in the region. The politics in the state have heated up as a result of Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao's purported remarks that either Visakhapatnam be made as the capital or Uttarandhra should be given the status of a separate state. Dharmana supported his claim that North Andhra had experienced difficulties from the beginning.
