Hyderabad: Amid increasing Corona positive cases in many countries, the Centre alerted all the state governments. It is said that Covid-19 positive cases are increasing across China, the USA, Japan, Korea and Brazil. Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan wrote to the state governments to speed up the genome sequencing to track and isolate new variants. The Center asked the state governments to send the positive cases samples to genome sequencings. The Center asked the states to be alert on new variants. It is mandated to send all positive case samples to Indian Consortium to study and monitor COVID-19 genome sequencing.
