Hyderabad: Residents of Hyderabad were baffled on Wednesday morning after identifying a white colour object in the sky. A few people recorded it through mobile cameras and shared it on social media. Many people claimed it as an alien ship, planet or star. Raghunandan, director of the Planetary Society Of India clarified that it is a research helium balloon sent by National Ballon Facility. He added that was sent for atmospheric studies and it carries an instrument weighing nearly 1000 kg. He added that the facility also warned last month about releasing a research balloon.
