Around two months after an explosion destroyed one of the Kremlin leader's important infrastructure projects, President Vladimir Putin on Monday drove a Mercedes across the Crimean Bridge connecting Russia to the Crimean peninsula that it has annexed. The 19-km road and rail bridge, which Putin personally unveiled in 2018, was bombed in an attack that Russia said was launched by Ukraine in October. Ukraine, however, never took responsibility for the bombing. On official television, Putin and Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin could be seen sitting in the driver's seat of a Mercedes and asking inquiries about the location of the attack. Additionally, videos of Putin operating the vehicle were tweeted. The footage comes amid rumours that, his health deteriorates, after Putin reportedly fell down five stairs and relieved himself at his official house in Moscow.
