Vijayawada: Indian President Draupadi Murmu arrived in Andhra Pradesh on a two-day trip to the state and state Governor Biswabhushan and Chief Minister YS Jagan welcomed the President at Gannavaram Airport today. Andhra Pradesh government felicitated President Droupadi Murmu at a civic reception in Vijayawada during her maiden visit to the state. President Murmu addressed the gathering in Telugu. Union Minister Kishan Reddy, High Court Chief Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra and other dignitaries attended the event. The heavy security force was deployed in the state ahead of the President's visit. She will attend Navy Day celebrations in Visakhapatnam.
