A fire on the Duronto Express triggers panic at the Kuppam Railway Station in Andhra Pradesh

On Sunday, an AC bogie of the Bengaluru-Howrah Express train caught fire in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh. While the fire was being put out, local police were dispatched to the scene to rescue passengers. The occurrence caused the passengers to get panicked, and they instantly got off the train at the station. No passenger has been hurt or killed, according to the reports.


The Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal-Howrah Duronto Express coach number S9 reportedly caught fire as it approached Kuppam Station in the Chittoor District. going from Bengaluru to Kolkata.

The Indian Railways acknowledged in a formal statement that the bus experienced brake binding and smoke began to emanate from the coach as a result of brake block friction.
