ED, IT raids in Telangana including Telangana minister

On Wednesday, officials from the Income Tax department and the Enforcement Directorate searched the homes and offices of granite business owners, including Telangana minister Gangula Kamalakar.

Officials from the ED and IT teams searched together. According to reports, they were auditing the paperwork and financial activities at the granite industries' Hyderabad and Karimnagar headquarters.

Both the minister's residence in Karimnagar town and the offices of granite businesses owned by his kin were searched.

The searches were conducted without the minister or any of his family members present. Apparently, they are in Dubai.

According to reports, the IT and ED personnel acted after granite businesses were accused of tax fraud and FEMA violations.
