US President Joe Biden and First Lady Dr Jill Biden hosted the Diwali reception on Monday at the White House. It is known that the George Bush administration started celebrating the festival in 2003 and later every year the celebrations are going on. As per the sources, more than 200 eminent Indian Americans participated in the Diwali reception at the East Room. The performances of sitarist Rishab Sharma and dance troupe The Sa Dance Company entertained the guests. The guests appeared in traditional Indian attires including lehenga, saree and sherwani and relished some Indian dishes. Indian Americans thanked President Joe Biden and the First Lady for the Diwali celebrations.
