Rajahmundry: Tension escalated during Amaravati farmers' padayatra in Rajamahendravaram after YSRCP leaders allegedly attacked the farmers with water bottles and chappals. According to the sources, Amaravati farmers' padayatra entered Rajamahendravaram and the YSRCP leaders attacked them with chappals and water bottles when the farmers are passing through the Azad Chowk. It is said that the YSRCP activists indulged in the violence under the leadership of YSRCP MP Margani Bharat. In the visuals, MP Bharat was seen trying to attack farmers. TDP, Jana Sena and BJP leaders and activists raised slogans in support of Amaravati farmers.
