Hyderabad has won two prestigious awards. The "AIPH World Green City Awards-2022" were won by Bhagyanagar. Hyderabad was named the "Green Garland Grand Winner" in the category of "greenery" on the city's outer ring road. According to Arvind Kumar, Special Chief Secretary for Municipal Administration, only Hyderabad has earned the honour from India. The greenery, he claimed, had made this possible. K Chandrasekhar Rao, the chief minister, expressed his happiness over Hyderabad receiving of two major accolades. The CM commended the GHMC, Special Secretary Aravind Kumar, and Minister of Municipal Administration KT Rama Rao. CM KCR stated that the international awards have not only enhanced the prestige of the state but also the dignity of the nation.
