Farmers' padayatra in Amaravati is now a hot political topic. In Morta village, Undrajavaram mandal, as part of the padayatra, idols of the Gods and Goddesses were seen. God and Goddess statues were mounted on tractors and the farmers took part in the yatra. Tractors were seen moving ahead with statues of Lord Shiva, Ayyappa Swamy, Kanakadurgamma, Ugra Narasimha, and Anjaneya Swamy. Each statue had a board in front of it as well. In the placards, it was mentioned that these Gods and Goddesses will defend and save Amaravati and its inhabitants from evil forces.
