A technical glitch in the wheels was caused by jammed bearings on the recently introduced semi-high-speed train Vande Bharat Express, which has been in the news for the past three days due to hitting animals. The past cattle-related railway accidents happened on the Gandhinagar-Mumbai track, but this incident happened on the New Delhi-Varanasi route. Between Dankaur and Wair stations on the North Central Railway, the semi-high-speed train malfunctioned as a result of a bearing fault in the traction motor of the C8 coach. The bearing congestion was resolved, but at Khurja station, passengers had to be transferred to a Shatabdi train that had been hurriedly brought in from New Delhi because of a 'flat tyre.' After returning the rake to the repair depot, a thorough investigation into the incident will be conducted, according to sources.
