Boat carrying 100 passengers including students, govt officials capsized in Brahmaputra river, disturbing visuals
Assam: In a horrifying incident, a boat carrying around 100 passengers capsized in the Brahmaputra river in Assam and the incident was captured on camera. The incident took place on Thursday in Dhubri district, Assam. According to the reports, several government officials and school students were on the boat when the incident took place.
As per the locals, 100 passengers were travelling on the boat and 10 motorcycles were loaded on it. It is learnt that the boat hit the pillar of a bridge and capsized. A few people managed to reach the shore by swimming and only 15 people rescued so far. No school student was rescued in the incident. Officials indulged in the rescue operations.
