According to Education Minister Botsa Satyanarayana, the government aims to carry out operations in compliance with democratic values. On Sunday, September 25, the AP Minister delivered a speech in Visakhapatnam about the proposed relocation of the state's three capitals. He has faulted The Mahapadayatra that had been organised by farmers in Amaravati to protest the move of the three capitals.
According to the minister, the government needs just five minutes to halt the padayatra (walkathon), but it doesn't want to do it in an undemocratic way. He claimed that only a small group of Amaravati residents are firmly opposed to the three capitals moving due to their alleged involvement in the real estate business.
Botsa questioned the demonstrators, "What is wrong if Visakhapatnam is made the executive capital of the state and developed on par with other major cities?"
The Minister said that the YSRCP government wishes to see development in all the impoverished areas of the state, including the development from Kakinada to Ichchapuram.
