Daggubati Purandeshwari, a former Union Minister and general secretary of the BJP, claimed that changing the name of the AP University of Health Sciences from the late Chief Minister NT Rama Rao to YSR without a justification is offensive. Purandeswari, the late NTR's daughter, said it is unfortunate to remove the name of the great leader and reformer who instituted numerous changes to improve the lives of Telugu citizens. Another BJP leader, Vishnukumar Raju, has prompted the state administration to revoke the contentious G.O. and asked the opposition political parties to fight for the justice.
