On Thursday, Hyderabad police sent notices to suspended BJP MLA Raja Singh in two previous cases against him despite ongoing calls for his re-arrest for allegedly making offensive remarks about the Prophet Mohammad. In relation to the cases filed at the two police stations, he was detained. The notices were issued by police officials from the Shaninayathgunj and Mangalhat police stations in accordance with Section 41A of the Criminal Procedure Code. The notice was issued by Mangalhat police in response to a complaint filed in February alleging that a video threatened Uttar Pradesh voters. Regarding a case of making provocative statements at Begum Bazar in April, Shahinayathgunj police issued a notice.
