Hyderabad: Tension escalated in Hyderabad after Bharatiya Janata Party leader T Raja Singh's comments against Prophet Mohammed and his release on bail. According to the reports, a group of youngsters staged protests in the old city and set fire to Raja Singh's effigy. It is learnt that protests took place at Tallabkatta, Amberpet, Charminar, Khilwat, Moghalpura, Chanchalguda and Bahadurpura. Protests took place till late at night and heavy police forces were deployed in the old city. The protestors attacked the police patrolling vehicles in Moghalopura and closed the roads leading to Goshamahal. The police intensified the patrolling in the city.
