Jagdeep Dhankar, the NDA presidential candidate against Margaret Alva of the opposition, has win with the help of the BJP. Jagdeep Dhankhar, who is most known for serving as the previous Governor of Bengal, won with 528 votes. The Biju Janata Dal of Naveen Patnaik, the YSR Congress of Jaganmohan Reddy, the Bahujan Samaj Party of Mayawati, the Telugu Desam Party of Chandrababu Naidu, the Akali Dal, and the Eknath Shinde faction of the Shiv Sena are among the non-NDA groups who supported Jagdeep Dhankhar.
