The Andhra Pradesh High Court's relocation of its major seat is to be decided by the State administration in collaboration with the relevant High Court, reiterated Union Minister Kiren Rijiju. After being questioned on the possibility of moving the High Court to Kurnool by TDP MP Kanakamedala Ravindra Kumar and YSRCP MP Mopidevi Venkata Ramana, Union Minister of Law and Justice Rijiju provided a written response in the Rajya Sabha. According to Rijiju, the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister proposed moving the High Court to Kurnool in February 2020, but the government has not yet received a full plan. The State administration and HC must together decide how they feel about the latter's relocation before submitting a comprehensive recommendation to the Indian government, according to the Union Law Minister.
