The palace of Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has recently become a popular tourist destination in Colombo as a result of yesterday's violent takeover by demonstrators. Videos of the protesters consuming meals in the kitchen, relaxing in guestrooms, and swimming in the pool at the president's house surfaced on Saturday. A sea of people were observed exercising at the palace gym today. Dramatic images show a number of demonstrators using the gym's treadmills. The facility's cardio and weightlifting equipment is also utilized by the demonstrators. According to government sources, President Rajapaksa has departed and is currently on a ship of the Sri Lankan Navy. The Sri Lankan government announced yesterday that President Rajapaksa would step down on July 13.
