The trailer for Srijit Mukherji's Shabaash Mithu, a Taapsee Pannu-starrer biopic about former India women's cricket team captain Mithali Raj, has been released. On July 15, the film will be released in theatres. The trailer depicts scenes from Mithali's inspirational life as the greatest run scorer in international women's cricket and a role model for countless aspiring Indian female players. It depicts Mithali's journey as a cricketer as well as a female athlete battling for equality in a male-dominated sport. Priyan Aven wrote the screenplay for the film. Swanand Kirkire, Kausar Munir, and Raghav M. Kumar contributed lyrics to the film's music, which was composed by Amit Trivedi.
