Adilabad: Tension escalated at IIIT Basara after the students are protesting before the administrative office demanding to appoint a permanent vice-chancellor and provide other basic amenities. Reacting to the issue, state Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy assured that all the demands of the students will be addressed shortly and she requested the leaders not to politicise the students' future. The issue flared up after the minister stated that the demands of the students are silly and questioned what is the loss for the students with contract lecturers and the vice-chancellor.
