Hyderabad, June 01: Minister for IT, Industries, and Municipal Administration K. Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) on Wednesday said that Hyderabad alone generated 1.5 lakh new IT jobs in 2021-22 despite slowing down of economy because of coronavirus pandemic. For the same period, India has created 4.5 lakh IT jobs, he stated after launching 2021-22 annual report of IT, E&C Department at Tech Mahindra campus here. KTR mentioned that the value of IT exports from Hyderabad stood at Rs 1.83 lakh crore in 2021-22. “The Telangana government set a target of increasing IT exports to Rs 2.9 lakh crore by 2035,” he said.
