Evangelist and Praja Shanti Party president KA Paul has announced his intention to contest in the next Assembly elections in both the Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. KA Paul has ruled down the term "comedian" in an interview promo for a programme called "Open Heart With RK." In response to an inquiry, KA Paul has tried to explain his statement by stating how, by the help of God, he has been effective in sustaining peace among numerous countries for the last forty years. He has described how some political forces in both Telugu states have been obstructing him politically. He defended himself by citing examples of late NTR and Chiranjeevi and their political struggle in their initial periods and compared the situations with his political journey. While recalling TRS Chief KCR's political status in 2008, KA Paul told how he himself donated several crores of rupees for a worthwhile cause. He remembers former AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu
