IMD predicts that it would proceed parallel to the coast in Odisha and Andhra Pradesh rather than crossing it. Odisha's Gajapati, Ganjam, and Puri districts have been given a alert due to the cyclone. On Wednesday, the IMD predicts heavy rainfall in five districts of Odisha.
