Prashant Kishor, an election strategist, has firmly rejected the Congress offer to join the party, effectively putting a stop to the months-long efforts to revitalise the grand old party.
According to NDTV media, there are five reasons why electoral strategists' negotiations with Congress failed. One of the main reasons, they say, is that PK wanted full control before 2024, whereas Congress promised a place on the empowered group in 2024. On the other hand, most senior members of Congress advised caution in entrusting the party to a political strategist. PK's weekend stay at rival Telangana CM KCR's house in Hyderabad resulted in a snub from the Congress on Monday.
