Vijayawada: Tension prevailed in Vijayawada after the police denied permission for 'Chalo CMO' given by UTF on Monday demanding CPS cancellation. According to the reports, the police kept several teachers under house arrest across the state and deployed heavy forces at CMO in Tadepalli. It is learned that the police conducting searches on all roads leading to Vijayawada. Police are taking all measures to foil the Chalo CMO and deployed heavy forces in the locale, allowing the persons only after verifying the ID cards. Police said that Section 144 and Police Act 30 are in force. Police said that strict legal actions will be taken against those who violate the rules.
