A lecturer who was hostile to female colleagues in Belgaum, Karnataka, was beaten. Amit Basavamurthy, an English instructor at Government Sardar PU College, used to come to class after consuming alcohol. He is said to be nasty to employees and staff. He also uses harsh words to disrespect his colleagues. According to the college personnel, despite multiple complaints to the principal, no action was done. Disgusted, the female workers thrashed Basavamurthy with their sandals. They later filed a complaint with the police department. The video of fellow female staff thrashing lecturer has gone viral on social media.
