TRS working president and Minister KT Rama Rao (KTR) has chastised Telangana BJP State President Bandi Sanjay for dubbing his padayatra Praja Sangrama Yatra. Bandi Sanjay, according to KTR, should rename it Praja Vanchana Yatra for making false promises and defrauding people. Telangana IT Minister demanded in an open letter to Bandi Sanjay that he first apologise to the people of Palamuru for the Centre's unwillingness to grant national project status to the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme (PRLIS) before proceeding. "Sanjay has no moral right to enter the Palamuru region, which has been repeatedly deceived by the Centre in terms of funds sanctioned, incompetence in project approval, and also national project status to PRLIS," he added. KTR questioned why the Centre was delaying the allocation of Telangana's share of Krishna River resources and betraying farmers in the former Mahabubnagar district.
