The Karnataka government has agreed to provide Karnataka High Court justices who had read out the judgement in the hijab case with Y-category protection. Police have detained several suspects who threatened to kill a judge after receiving threats. The Karnataka High Court bench led by Chief Justice Ritu Raj Awasthi, which issued a decision maintaining the ban on hijab four days ago, is now getting death threats. A day after three persons were arrested in Tamil Nadu for threatening the Karnataka High Court bench and making insulting statements, the Karnataka government granted the three justices Y category protection.
