Amaravati Revival: Chandrababu Prepares for PM Modi’s Landmark Visit
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Andhra Pradesh on May 2 to mark the ceremonial restart of Amaravati’s capital construction works. In preparation for this significant occasion, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu held a review meeting on Sunday evening with his cabinet ministers and top officials at his residence in Undavalli.

During the meeting, Nara Chandrababu Naidu directed authorities to ensure that the arrangements for the Prime Minister’s visit are flawless. He emphasized that Amaravati is the capital for all and urged people from all regions of the state to participate in the foundation-laying ceremony. He reiterated that the construction of Amaravati would continue as a capital city inclusive of every region and highlighted that the government is moving forward with the holistic development of all areas.

As part of his visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in several key development-related events in Amaravati. He is expected to lay the foundation stones for multiple major infrastructure projects during his visit. Following this, he will address a massive public gathering organized as part of the event. The coalition government has planned these arrangements with a high level of importance.

On May 2, Prime Minister Modi will land at Gannavaram Airport in the afternoon and will proceed to Amaravati by helicopter. He is scheduled to attend the public meeting starting at 4:00 PM. In preparation, extensive arrangements are underway across 250 acres located behind the Velagapudi Secretariat, including the construction of the event venue, helipads, and parking facilities. The government has set a target to complete all these arrangements by April 28. Special committees have been appointed to monitor and oversee the progress.

The government aims to lay foundation stones for development works worth approximately ₹1 lakh crore during the Prime Minister’s visit. This event is being viewed as a major milestone in the revival of Amaravati’s capital development.
