Bengaluru: DRDO officer's attack claims contradicted by CCTV footage
An incident involving an Indian Air Force officer has drawn widespread attention in Bengaluru after he alleged an attack against him, sharing a self-recorded video to support his claims. The officer, Saladhitya Bose, who serves as a pilot with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), stated that he was attacked and verbally abused by a group of individuals while travelling in a car with his wife to the airport.
However, following an investigation, Bengaluru police uncovered details that contradicted the officer’s allegations. Authorities were surprised to find, upon reviewing CCTV footage from the scene, that it was Saladhitya Bose himself who had allegedly initiated the attack on a person named Vikram. The footage depicting this confrontation has since gone viral on social media.
The incident has sparked criticism from netizens, many of whom have condemned the officer’s behaviour. Social media users have expressed that CCTV footage plays a crucial role in upholding justice and could prevent innocent individuals from being wrongly implicated.
In response to the incident, an individual named Kumar lodged a complaint against Saladhitya Bose. The Baiyappanahalli police have registered a case under multiple sections, including attempted murder, and have launched an investigation.
