Yamakaathaghi, a Tamil Supernatural Thriller, Now Streaming on OTT

A Tamil-language supernatural thriller titled Yamakaathaghi has now premiered on an OTT platform. Directed by Jayaseelan, the film was released in theatres on March 7 and is now available for streaming on Aha Tamil starting today.

The film stars Roopa Kaduvayur in a lead role. Narendra, Geetha Kailasam, Raju Rajappan, Haritha, and Pradeep play other significant roles. The music for the film was composed by Jecin George, while the production was helmed by Srinivasa Rao and Ganapathi.

Although Roopa Kaduvayur previously acted in one or two Telugu films, they did not gain much attention from audiences, and she remained relatively unnoticed. However, Yamakaathaghi marks her debut in Tamil cinema and has brought her critical acclaim for her performance.

The story is set in a remote village, where a character named Leela lives with her family. One day, the family discovers Leela hanging from a noose. Preparations are made for her funeral, and the villagers get ready to carry the body for the final rites. However, despite numerous efforts, they are unable to take the body out of the house. The reason behind this strange phenomenon and what happens next forms the crux of the story.
