Pawan Kalyan Makes Key Comments on Volunteer System
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan alleged that the previous YSR Congress Party government had pushed volunteers into a state of helplessness. He stated that there were no official records or documentation related to the volunteers, which had prevented any opportunity to discuss the matter with Minister Nara Lokesh during cabinet meetings.
Speaking at a Rachabanda event in Kuridi village of Dumbriguda Mandal, Pawan Kalyan said, “We do not even know how the previous government paid salaries to the volunteers. I urge the public to question the volunteer leaders directly to understand how these payments were made.”
Pawan Kalyan further alleged, “In the name of volunteers, they claimed to be creating government jobs and deceived people. They looted ₹25,000 crore.” He criticized the previous administration, claiming that volunteers were recruited under the pretext of serving the public but were instead used for party-related work.
He said that there was no document or Government Order (G.O.) available with the current government regarding the volunteer system. “There is no official evidence that such a volunteer system exists in the state,” Pawan Kalyan stated. He added that this lack of documentation has made it impossible to bring the subject into cabinet discussions.
