Prime Minister Modi Receives Mauritius’ Highest National Award

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Mauritius is ongoing, during which he was conferred with the country’s highest national award. Expressing gratitude, Modi stated, “I humbly accept this prestigious award and extend my heartfelt thanks to the Government of Mauritius.” He also conveyed appreciation to the people of Mauritius, referring to them as "brothers and sisters."

Modi emphasized that he does not consider this honor as solely his own but as a recognition for 1.4 billion Indians.

During his visit, Modi received a grand welcome in the Mauritian capital, Port Louis, yesterday. Notably, Mauritius Prime Minister Naveen Ramgoolam personally arrived at the airport to welcome the Indian Prime Minister.
