Andhra Pradesh Government Clarifies Free Bus Travel Rules for Women
Andhra Pradesh Minister for Women and Child Welfare, Gummadi Sandhya Rani, has made a crucial announcement regarding free bus travel for women in the state. She clarified that women will be allowed to travel for free only within their respective districts and will not be permitted to avail of the benefit when traveling to another district.

Minister Gummadi Sandhya Rani emphasized that the free travel scheme will be strictly implemented in Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) buses. However, she stated that the benefit would not extend beyond the district boundaries. The minister explained that this clarification was being provided in accordance with the electoral promises made by the government.

She made these remarks in response to a question raised by YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) MLC Surya Narayana Raju during a session in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council regarding the implementation of the "Super Six" welfare schemes.
