Industrial Sector Has Confidence in Government: AP Minister TG Bharat
Andhra Pradesh Industries, Commerce, and Food Processing Minister TG Bharat stated that industrialists have expressed strong confidence in the current government. Speaking in the Assembly, he recalled that when industrialists met him six months ago, they remarked that while they were unsure if they had witnessed independence in 1947, they truly felt a sense of freedom only after the new government took office.
TG Bharat noted that, according to industrialists, they now have the opportunity to communicate and raise concerns with the government—something they allegedly lacked before. He criticized the previous administration, stating that Andhra Pradesh had reached a stage where, in international forums like the Chamber of Commerce in Paris, people were being advised to invest anywhere in India except in the state.
The minister asserted that in the past eight months, the government has successfully instilled confidence in the industrial sector. He claimed that investors have committed approximately ₹6.50 lakh crore in investments, which will generate lakhs of job opportunities in the state.
He acknowledged the concerns of several Assembly members who emphasized the need for job creation and attracting industries. TG Bharat assured them that he, along with the Principal Secretary, had taken note of the points raised by members Vijay Kumar Raju, Yarlagadda Venkata Rao, Krishna Chaitanya, and Eshwara Rao. He promised to discuss these matters with industrialists and review them periodically to implement necessary actions.
