Hanumakonda Doctor Dies After Attack Linked to Wife’s Lover
Dr. Sumanth Reddy, a 36-year-old doctor from Hanumakonda district, who was severely injured in an attack allegedly orchestrated by his wife’s lover, succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment. Following his death, the police have reclassified the attempted murder case as a murder case and are continuing their investigation.

According to the police report, Dr. Sumanth Reddy, who ran a clinic in Kazipet, was attacked on the night of January 20 while he was driving home. Two assailants, who were following him on a bike, intercepted him near Bhattupalli outskirts and launched a brutal assault. They struck his head with an iron rod, causing severe injuries. Local residents who noticed the attack rushed him to MGM Hospital in Warangal. Due to the critical nature of his condition, he was later transferred to a private hospital in Hyderabad the following day. Two days ago, he was shifted back to MGM Hospital in Warangal, where he succumbed to his injuries yesterday morning after battling for his life for nine days. His death has plunged his family into deep sorrow.

During the investigation, crucial details emerged, revealing that Dr. Sumanth Reddy's wife, Flora Maria, allegedly conspired with her lover, Errrolla Samuel from Sangareddy, to carry out the attack. Samuel, along with his friend, AR Head Constable Manchukuri Rajkumar, is suspected to have executed the assault. The police arrested the accused on January 27 and sent them to jail.
