Kidnapping Case: Vallabhaneni Vamsi Confesses to Meeting Jagan on February 12
Police continued their interrogation of YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader Vallabhaneni Vamsi for the second consecutive day in connection with a kidnapping case. On the first day, Vamsi reportedly responded to several questions by stating that he did not know, could not recall, or did not remember. In response, officers intensified their questioning on the second day, presenting call data records from the 12th. When confronted with evidence showing his phone's location in Tadepalli throughout the day, Vamsi admitted to meeting the then Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on that date. However, he claimed that the kidnapping issue was not discussed during their meeting. He reportedly maintained that he was unaware of other aspects of the case.
Meanwhile, police also interrogated Sivaramakrishna Prasad and Lakshmipathi, who were arrested in the same case. They allegedly confessed to kidnapping Satyavardhan under Vamsi’s instructions and taking him to Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam. Additionally, Yatheendra Ramakrishna and Yerramsetti Ramanjaneyulu reportedly stated that Vamsi was the mastermind behind the abduction.
According to police sources, on February 10, Ramanjaneyulu, Venu, and Velpula Vamsi allegedly kidnapped Satyavardhan near a court and transported him in a black car to Vallabhaneni Vamsi’s residence in Hyderabad. Later, on Vamsi’s orders, Satyavardhan was taken to Visakhapatnam, initially placed in a hotel and subsequently moved to an apartment.
Following a court directive, authorities transferred Vamsi to a jail cell equipped with a western commode and a cot for sleeping.
