Wuhan Lab Did Not Create or Leak COVID-19: China

China has reiterated that the Wuhan laboratory did not conduct genetic modification research on the coronavirus. The statement comes as global suspicions persist regarding the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic, which shook the world five years ago. Several countries have questioned whether the virus leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, prompting repeated denials from China.

Addressing these concerns once again, China has firmly stated that no genetic modification experiments related to the coronavirus were ever conducted at the Wuhan lab. “We have clarified this multiple times before,” the country emphasized.

A spokesperson for China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs further asserted, “COVID-19 was neither created, developed, nor leaked from this facility. We strongly oppose the politically motivated allegations that the virus originated in the Wuhan lab.”
