Vinod Kambli’s Wife Andrea Hewitt Reveals She Considered Divorce, But Reversed Decision
Andrea Hewitt, the second wife of former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli, has made significant revelations about their marriage. Speaking in a recent interview, she stated that she had planned to divorce Kambli in 2023 due to his alcohol addiction but decided against it after witnessing his helpless state. Andrea disclosed that her husband’s deteriorating health prompted her to reconsider the decision.
During a podcast hosted by freelance journalist Suryanshi Pandey, Andrea elaborated on the challenges they faced due to Kambli’s addiction and how it strained their relationship. “If I left him, he would be completely helpless. He needs assistance even with daily tasks. Right now, he is like a child, and seeing him in this condition pains me. Even if my friends were in such a state, I wouldn’t abandon them, and he is so much more to me. When I thought about this, I was scared and decided to withdraw the divorce plan,” Andrea explained.
Recently, Kambli attended the 50th-anniversary celebrations at Wankhede Stadium, where Andrea was seen assisting him. The former cricketer has been battling severe health issues for some time. Notably, he was hospitalized last year after being diagnosed with a blood clot in the brain but was discharged after undergoing treatment.
