Why Fear the Red Book? Nara Lokesh Questions YSRCP Leaders
Nara Lokesh, Andhra Pradesh's Minister for Education and IT, criticized the opposition YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leaders during a media interaction in Visakhapatnam after attending a court hearing. Lokesh strongly condemned the alleged misinformation spread by YSRCP members about the TDP's efforts at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos.
Lokesh particularly targeted YSRCP leader R.K. Roja, stating, "R.K. Roja does not know the difference between Davos and Zurich." He clarified that the remarks he made about the "Red Book" were in response to a question during a meeting with Telugu expatriates in Zurich, not at the WEF in Davos. Lokesh questioned, "Why are YSRCP leaders so afraid of the Red Book? They should understand this distinction before making baseless allegations."
Highlighting the challenges in attracting investments, Lokesh explained, "Convincing each industrialist requires tremendous effort. I personally met with Cognizant representatives at their pavilion during the WEF. My efforts are for the future of our children. Soon, there will be good news for Visakhapatnam and North Andhra."
Lokesh also reflected on his role within the TDP, emphasizing his dedication to the party's growth and discipline. "I have always worked tirelessly to strengthen the party, regardless of the responsibilities given to me by party chief and CM Chandrababu Naidu. I do not want to continue as the TDP's national general secretary this time. No individual should hold the same position for more than three terms—this is my personal opinion. The party requires revitalization from the grassroots to the Politburo. However, the final decision lies with the party leadership," he stated.
Lokesh concluded by reaffirming his commitment to the TDP and its principles. "I am and will always remain a disciplined worker of the Telugu Desam Party. My focus is on strengthening the party and bringing positive change."
